BeeSwarm is a great place to coordinate your club swarms with ease. The more active the area the better it is for all.
Set up your account and request admin rights from the [email protected] We will then add you to the functional group and change your privileges on the individual postcode spaces.
Use the SPACES tab at the top to find all the spaces for all the postcodes in your area.
Invite all your club members who collect swarms to join. Add these people as friends within the site.
Put an easy link on your website directing swarm enquiries direct to www.BeeSwarm.uk. This will remove the administrative burden of swarm emails on your club swarm officer. You could even add the Guest account details to your website so people know they don’t need to have a reporter account in order to post a swarm.

Actively managing your area could include:
As an admin you can be given moderator rights within the individual postcode spaces. This will allow you to edit the posts.
Copy and paste this image into the top of the post and align to the right.
The site "SHOULD" run seamlessly with no input from an Admin, however that is not quite the case. Sometimes swarm reporters get confused and post to the wrong postcode spaces or don't manage to find the postcode space itself. Keep an eye out for the new members in your area who are signed up as reporters and not joined any postcodes. These usually are people who have not managed to get to the swarm reporting part of the site and could do with a friendly call. Their phone numbers are often on the profile page marked communications. You can either post on their behalf or talk them through the final stage.
Currently there is no specific control granted to a club over an area and all swarm collectors are considered equal. However, the more of your club members in a specific postcode, the more of a monopoly you will naturally have over those post codes. An active Club Admin covering the area will also massively benefit the club members within that region.
Actively managing your area will also raise awareness of your association in the area encouraging outher beekeepers to join your club. Use the friend feature to keep all your club together and up to date.
